Kim Yo Jong, the sister of North Korean leader said, we are building an overwhelming and the strongest military power. We want to protect our sovereignty and regional peace, she added. Ms Kim condemned the US and South Korea for conducting army drills in the region.

This came weeks after Yun’s delegation to Moscow. This is a rare visit as the last time an official visited Iran was before Covid 19. Iran is one of a few nations which is openly supporting Russia in its war against Ukraine. So this visit can be a generous attempt to strengthen relations with Russia.
