Rashmika Mandanna’s AI deepfake video goes viral | Reactions inside

Rashmika Mandanna, an actress, is currently working hard to establish her reputation as a trustworthy actor in the entertainment business with her strong performances and approachable personality. She was taken aback when a video of her stepping out in skimpy attire went popular on social media and became a victim of deepfake video technology. Along with a journalist seeking clarity, the government and Goodbye co-star Amitabh Bachchan expressed worries over the situation.

In response to actor Rashmika Mandanna’s “deepfake” video becoming viral on social media, Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar has spoken. According to the Union Minister, platforms must address these dangerous and dangerous kinds of misinformation.

“PM Narendra Modi ji’s Govt is committed to ensuring Safety and Trust of all DigitalNagriks using Internet,” the Union Minister of State for Electronics and IT posted on X.

The Minister stated the IT regulations announced in April 2023: “It is a legal obligation for platforms to: ensure no misinformation is posted by any user AND, ensure that when reported by any user or govt, misinformation is removed in 36 hrs. If platforms do not comply with this, rule 7 will apply and platforms can be taken to court by aggrieved person under provisions of IPC. Deepfakes are latest and even more dangerous and damaging form of misinformation and needs to be dealt with by platforms.”

The Union Minister’s tweet was a response to one written by journalist Abhishek Kumar, who had posted the actress’s video and demanded “an urgent need for a legal and regulatory framework to deal with deepfake incidents in the country.” In addition, Kumar provided the original video, stating that it was posted on October 9 and featured Zara Patel. Patel, an Indian-British girl, has 415K Instagram followers.

‘Good Bye’ actor Amitabh Bachchan, who portrayed Mandanna’s father, expressed his solidarity with the actor and suggested that a lawsuit be filed. The actor stated in response to Abhishek’s remark, “yes this is a strong case for legal.”

Rashmika Mandanna’s next film project is Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal, which also stars Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor, and Ranbir Kapoor. In the making are Pushpa: The Rise, The Girlfriend, and Rainbow.
