The entire nation is abuzz with excitement for the 2024 Indian Premier League, which began with a bang last month. Known for their deep love for cricket, Indian fans have been eagerly attending live matches, undeterred by their hectic schedules. This national obsession was highlighted when a woman unexpectedly took family emergency leave to support her team and was caught on camera by her surprised boss.

The woman, a self-professed Royal Challengers Bengaluru enthusiast, shared her unique story through a video, revealing her boss’s reaction to her ‘family emergency leave’ and even posted a snippet of the game and a screenshot of their text exchange.

In the conversation, her boss inquired about her support for RCB and whether she was let down by the game’s outcome, as her reactions were broadcast live during the match between RCB and Lucknow Super Giants.

Without making any excuses, the employee’s boss humorously commented on her early departure, saying, “So that was the reason for the early logout yesterday.”

When posting the video on Instagram, the woman humorously noted, “Things are getting more real by the day.” Netizens shared their amusement with the video, posting witty remarks.

One user joked, “Haha, the cameraman decided to expose the sinners today,” while another noted, “The manager was also watching the game from the office.”

Someone else remarked, “Others tried to get the camera’s attention at the stadium but didn’t succeed. You, however, did.”

Interestingly, this isn’t the first time such an amusing event has been shared online. A previous IPL season featured a viral video of a young woman at a match, holding a sign pleading with the cameraman not to film her, claiming she was sick to secure her spot at the live event.
