We all know that Gujarat is a dry state on papers but the ground reality may be a bit hazy. On Friday, a BJP leader threw a birthday. In public, on a road, even though the state is grappling with rising Covid-19 cases.
The video from the party has gone viral on social media as many criticised the saffron party for such brazen act. The leader who celebrated his birthday is said to be Kawan Patel and is BJP’s Mahisagar district convener.

In the viral video, Kawan Patel is seen cutting a huge cake with a sword that is placed on the bonnet of a car. While he starts cutting his birthday cake, his friends open alcohol bottles and start spraying it on him and later drink it.
Soon after the video went viral on social media, Police finally took cognizance of the incident and registered an FIR. As per reports, Police have also arrested a few people in connection with violating law and order.
