23-year-old Rahul mob lynched and killed by a gang of Islamists in Delhi, family blames police involvement
23-year-old Rahul kept pleading for mercy and life, claiming to be innocent, but the insane Muslim mob didn’t listen and brutally murdered him early morning at 5:30 in a park right besides the Police station in Naraina, Delhi.
DCP Deepak Purohit of West Delhi said “Istihar (30), Mustaq Ahmed (32), Shiraj (28) and Anish (24) had tied a young man to a tree in MCD Park of Narayana Loha Mandi at around 5.30 am on Friday. They were constantly attacking him with sticks, poles, pipes and iron rods. The young man was screaming loudly in pain.”
Hearing the screaming and shouting of the young man who was apparantly being beaten on a suspicion of phone theft, people rushed to the park.
The accused said that this boy along with his partner had stolen a mobile phone from Siraj’s truck. Its partner ran away with the phone. The accused threatened to drive the people away and started beating the young man again.
Police reached the spot, found the dead body of a young boy with bruises all over his body. The investigation identified the deceased as Rahul, 23 years old. He lived in the Kirti Nagar area of Delhi. The police raided and later arrested the four accused. Weapons used in the incident were also recovered from them.
Although it is still being investigated as the police also suspect if there is a communal angle for the crime as Rahul was a common man who lived with his wife and 4-year-old son who are now traumatized by the incident.
