Arguably the highlight of the night was Jungkook’s performance of ‘Standing Next to You,’ a hit song from his freshly released album. The album, titled ‘Golden’, is not just a collection of songs. It is a tribute to his journey, enclosed in a name. As Jungkook revealed during the show, Golden is a spin on his nickname, ‘Golden Maknae,’ given by RM, another BTS member.
Much to the delight of everyone, the album brags a remarkable collection of 11 tracks. These include mesmerizing collaborations with top artists like Major Lazer, Ed Sheeran, DJ Snake, and Shawn Mendes, to name a few. The album hit platinum status soon after its release, and its song ‘Seven’ stands as the fastest song to collect one billion streams.
