Religion and nationalism are two things BJP has been blamed to carry with them and hindering the development of India. ‘Schools, Colleges and Hospitals are not beinng made but the RSS/BJP government is busy making Temples’ is what is proclaimed by it’s opposition but, is it true? Let’s have a look at the figures:

India had built 7 AIIMS in the 67 years since independence (6 of them in 2012). But in the past 6 years, India has been able to build 8 more AIIMS while 8 more are on the verge of completion (Including 2 in J&K). A total of 7 IITs were also made in the last 6 years out of the total number of 23 (since independence)

Coming to the entire Healthcare sector, if India had to face the pandemic with healthcare facilities of 2014, we would have 20% less hospitals, 30% less beds for patients and let’s be honest, it would have been much worse.

A mere percentage might not give an idea of hospitals so let’s come to the numbers: In 2014, India had a total of about 33,000 hospitals (including private and government). When it comes to the present count the latest known data is from 2018 when the number of total hospitals had grown over 40,000 and considering the efforts 7 average, the number currently is approximately 45,000 in 2020.

The major concern of the opposition is Education and also after the NEP 2020, it has become an even more important for the generations to come so let’s have a look at it’s numbers:

In 2014, an approximate number of educational institutes in India (Including schools & colleges) was approximately 1.3 million. The number had been increased to 1,522,346 in the latest available statistical year book of the government in 2018. Considering this growth rate, the number is ought to be approximately 1.6 million considering no new institutions during the 6 months of the pandemic.

It is true that the present government is pro-India and pro-Hindu, but it is not like the government in anti-development. From education, to healthcare and infrastructure, after 73 years of Independence, India is growing towards a better future and maybe this time reliving it’s culture and history as well.
