Khalistani terrorist’s alleged ties to Lashkar-e-Taiba fuel India-Canada diplomatic row

Khalistani terrorist Arshdeep Dalla, based in Canada, is alleged to have ties with the Pakistan-based terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba and plans to target Hindu leaders in Punjab.

A diplomatic row between India and Canada has taken center stage, revolving around Khalistani terrorist Arshdeep Dalla, based in Canada. The allegation is that Dalla has ties with the Pakistan-based terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba and hold plans to target Hindu leaders in Punjab –– an accusation that adds fuel to the current tensions palpable between New Delhi and Ottawa.

The Diplomatic Row Airs

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau pinned the June murder of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar on Indian agents disturbing the ties between India and Canada. India retaliated by rejecting the allegations as “absurd” and “motivated”. The fallout spiraled into both nations expelling envoys and cautioning their citizens against travel. Amid this political tension, Delhi police have discovered Dalla’s plot to target leaders of Hindu outfits and BJP’s ideological arm Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

Terror Links Uncovered

Earlier this year, a crackdown operation led by Delhi Police revealed startling plans. Jagjeet Singh Jagga and Naushad were arrested in Delhi’s Jahangirpuri following an arms recovery, and charged under the stringent Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. During the interrogation, Jagga disclosed his contact with Dalla and his instructions to prepare for disruptive activities in Punjab.

“During his period of absconding accused Jagjit Singh @ Jagga came in contact with designated Khalistani Terrorist Arshdeep @ Arsh Dala who had instructed him to murder some leaders of RSS and the prominent persons who are against the Khalistani Movement in Punjab…”

Sikh for Justice Meeting in Vancouver

“Agents of Pakistan’s intelligence agency, ISI, present in Canada and chiefs of Khalistan terror groups recently held a secret meeting in Vancouver, intelligence sources told India Today TV. Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) chief Gurpatwant Singh Pannun and other heads of Khalistani organisations were present at the meeting held five days ago, according to intelligence sources.”

The aforementioned meeting allegedly discussed various strategies to escalate anti-India propaganda. Intelligence sources have referred to these strategies as ‘Plan-K’.

The Consequences of Plan-K

  • The ISI has been funding Khalistan activities in Canada massively.
  • These financial aids are specifically employed to incite demonstrations and create anti-India posters and banners.

Current Situation in Canada

It is currently believed that over twenty Khalistani terrorists and gangsters are in hiding across Canada. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) of India has been attempting to gather more information on this matter to no avail.

To display the severity of this issue, India recently compiled a list of nine pro-Khalistan terror organisations, which was handed over to Canada. These groups pose a serious threat of conducting extremist activities not only in Punjab but also in other parts of India.

This close affiliation between Khalistani terrorists and Pakistan’s ISI signifies a critical development in India’s quest to reduce Khalistani terror activities.
