“Allah, give us Modi so that he can fix our country,” says Pak Man, leaving internet in splits

Expressing his heartfelt desire to live under Modi’s rule, the teary-eyed man said, “I am ready to live under Modi's rule. Modi is a great man. I pray to Allah to give us Modi and have him rule our country.”

While Pakistan continues to fall deep in the economic ditch, a video of a Pakistani man praising PM Narendra Modi has caused a stir on the internet.

In the viral video posted by Pakistani YouTuber and former journalist Sana Amjad, a man can be heard criticising the Shehbaz Sharif-led government over the prevailing economic situation and expressed that if Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had been ruling Pakistan, the country would’ve been in a better financial condition.

“Why slogans like ‘Pakistan se kinda bhago chahe India chase jaao’ were being raised by protestors?” former journalist Sana asked. To this, the man replied: “I wish I was not born in cash-strapped Pakistan. I wish Pakistan was not separated from India. We would then be purchasing tomatoes at PKR 20 per kg, chicken for PKR 15 per kg, and petrol at PKR 50 per litre.”

“If we had Narendra Modi, we wouldn’t need Nawaz sharif or Benazir or Imran, not even General Parvez Musharraf. All we want is Prime Minister Modi, as only he can deal with all mischievous elements in the country. India is currently the fifth-biggest economy in the world while we are nowhere,” he added.

Expressing his heartfelt desire to live under Modi’s rule, the teary-eyed man said, “I am ready to live under Modi’s rule. Modi is a great man, he is not a bad human being. Indians are getting tomatoes and chicken at reasonable rates. When you cannot feed your children at night, you start ruing the country you were born in. I pray to Allah to give us Modi and have him rule our country.”

Jokes aside, while Pakistan’s economic crisis is spiralling out of control, the devastating floods last year and political mismanagement have brought the country ever closer to the brink.
