New study discovers drinking Coke and Pepsi leads to higher testosterone & larger testicles

The study conducted over 15 days looked at three groups of mice - one that only drank water, another that drank different levels of Coca Cola with another doing the same with Pepsi.

The latest study from Northwest Minzu University has revealed how drinking Coca-Cola and Pepsi can lead to larger testicles and higher testosterone levels.

The study attempted to determine the effects of carbonated beverages on fertility and sex organs in men. Based on a study conducted on rodents, the study published findings that indicate that drinking sodas may make men more masculine by boosting sperm production and subsequently larger testes.

The study conducted over 15 days looked at three groups of mice – one that only drank water, another that drank different levels of Coca Cola with another doing the same with Pepsi.

Tests on the rodents included weighing their testicles and drawing blood and were conducted on day 1, then days 5, 7, 10 and 15. On the final day, the results discovered that rats drinking Coke and 100 per cent Pepsi had a significant change, such as higher concentrations of testosterone, compared to a mixture of Pepsi and water.

“Drinking Coca-Cola and Pepsi-Cola may stimulate testis development and increase testosterone secretion.” [ …] Our findings provide a scientific basis for a more complete understanding of the effects of carbonated beverages and their mechanisms on the development and reproductive function of humans, and how they benefit prostate dysfunction and cancer prevention,” the study concluded.

However, the new findings, published in the journal Acta Endocrinol, sharply contrast previous studies that found sugary drinks and processed foods made men less fertile.
