Politicians of SP, BSP amongst 28 accused of raping a minor girl for 7 years in UP’s Lalitpur

The 17-year-old girl also accused many of her family members of rape, including her own father while narrating the ordeal to police.

A teenage girl in Uttar Pradesh’s Lalitpur was allegedly raped by 28 men, including her father and some politicians for several years, a complaint filed by the minor on Tuesday, 12 October, indicated.

An FIR has been registered at the Lalitpur police station against her father, SP district president Tilak Yadav, SP city president Rajesh Jain Jojhiya, BSP district president Deepak Ahirwar and others under Indian Penal Code (IPC) Sections 354 (assault of a woman), 376 D (gang rape), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 328 (causing hurt by means of poison), 506 (criminal intimidation), 120 B (party to criminal conspiracy), as well as sections 5 and 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

In her complaint, she narrated her ordeal and alleged that when she was in Class 6, her father tried to lure her into a physical relationship by showing her obscene films but she did not oblige.

Later, her father bought her new clothes and took her for a ride on a motorbike on the pretext of teaching her how to drive. He took her to a desolated farm and raped her while warning her to keep quiet or he would kill her mother.

A few days later, he took her to a hotel on the way back from her school and gave her snacks laced with sedatives.

He handed her over to a woman, who made her sit alone inside a room and after sometime, a man entered the room while she fell unconscious. When she regained consciousness, her clothes and shoes were not in the proper place and she was having a severe stomach ache.

Later, this continued and each time, a new man raped her in hotel rooms. All along she was threatened with dire consequences.
