AAP plans fast to protest Kejriwal’s arrest

Delhi Minister Gopal Rai urged individuals to participate in fasting and share their images on the forthcoming website kejriwalkoashirwad.com as a means of expressing their protest.

AAP ministers, lawmakers, and councillors plan to stage a fast at New Delhi’s Jantar Mantar on Sunday in protest of the arrest of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

Delhi Minister Gopal Rai has urged people nationwide to participate in fasting and share their pictures on the website kejriwalkoashirwad.com to register their protest against the arrest of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. He emphasized that this protest is not just about Kejriwal but about defending democracy and the constitution. Rai invited individuals, regardless of their political affiliations, to join the movement.

Additionally, Rai mentioned that Kejriwal’s wife, Sunita, launched the “Kejriwal ko Ashirwad” campaign last week, which included a WhatsApp number for sending messages of solidarity. However, due to the overwhelming response leading to the crash of the number, a website is now being set up for this purpose.

Rai highlighted the recent Supreme Court bail granted to AAP leader Sanjay Singh, which exposed the baseless allegations against the party leaders. He criticized the BJP for its conspiracy and dictatorship, noting that their claims of dishonesty were refuted by the court’s decision to grant bail.

Furthermore, Rai pointed out the BJP’s contradictory stance, as they previously argued against bail for AAP leaders due to alleged dishonesty but now claim that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) is unbiased.
