PoK will become part of India on its own: Union Minister VK Singh

During a Parivartan Sankalp Yatra (PSY) programme in Rajasthan's Dausa, he was responding to the demand of PoK people to join India.

According to Union Minister Gen. (Ret.) VK Singh, Pakistan-occupied Kashmir will eventually reunite with India on its own. During a Parivartan Sankalp Yatra (PSY) programme in Rajasthan’s Dausa, he was responding to the demand of PoK people to join India after the PSY programme. He stated, echoing the position of his party, that “PoK will merge with India on its own, wait for some time.” Days prior, China had published a “standard map” indicating its claim to the areas of Arunachal Pradesh and Aksai Chin.

According to Arindam Bagchi, a spokesperson for the External Affairs Ministry, India had expressed its strong objection to the so-called 2023 “standard map” to the Chinese side through diplomatic channels.

Oppositions’ remark-Akhand Bharat’. We always say that PoK is ours

Sanjay Raut, the leader of the Shiv Sena UBT, responded to his comments by saying that he “should have tried” to incorporate the region into India while the former army chief was in that position.

“We have always dreamed that there be an ‘Akhand Bharat’. We always say that PoK is ours. But when the former Army chief was holding the post, he should have tried then to make it ours. How can you do it now?” Raut enquired.

“We will welcome it if any effort is made towards that but before that, make Manipur peaceful. China has reached Manipur. Rahul Gandhi says that China has entered Ladakh and has taken our land, parts of Arunachal Pradesh are being shown by China on its map – end this first. After that will merge with India on its own, you are not required for that to happen,” he added.

Rahul Gandhi’s remark on China’s map-

“Here people are saying the Chinese army has entered our land. People told that the land which was earlier used for grazing, now they cannot go there. The Prime Minister said – not an inch of land has been lost, that is not true. Ask anyone in Ladakh, they will tell you this.” Gandhi stated.

In response to Rahul Gandhi’s comment-

On Monday, Lt. Governor of Ladakh Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) denied Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s allegations that Chinese settlers had taken over land in the Union Territory, claiming that “even one square inch of land” had been taken.

The LG made a forceful declaration, stating that the Indian Armed Forces are ready for whatever that may happen and will, if necessary, give the enemy a “bloody nose”.

“I wouldn’t comment on anybody’s statement but I will say what is fact because I have seen myself. There is not even one square inch of land which the Chinese have occupied…The statement of fact is that our armed forces are prepared for any eventuality and God forbid if the balloon goes up, people will get bloody nose from us,” he stated.

During a week-long trip to Ladakh in August, Rahul Gandhi reaffirmed his assertion that the Chinese have taken over Indian territory in Ladakh. He claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statement about Ladakh is untrue and went against the Modi government over the border dispute with China.

Parivartan Sankalp Yatra’s primary side-

VK Singh also discussed the accomplishments of the G20 Summit, which India presided over and just ended. The majesty of the summit, he claimed, has given India a special place on the international stage and enabled the nation to demonstrate its resolve.

The minister also strongly criticised the Rajasthan government for the state of law and order, saying that the state is suffering from a lack of law and order under the current Congress administration.

Regarding the inquiry regarding the BJP’s chief minister in the state for the upcoming assembly elections, V K Singh responded that the BJP does not announce the chief minister’s face wherever elections are held and instead campaigns only on the Prime Minister’s attractiveness.
