PM Modi goes scuba diving in Dwarka, performs underwater puja

PM Modi shared underwater pictures, donning scuba gear, while exploring the "lost city" of Lord Krishna.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi immersed himself in a “divine experience” on Sunday as he offered prayers at the Dwarkadhish Temple in Gujarat’s Dwarka, submerging in deep water. Describing the event as a connection to an ancient era of spiritual grandeur, PM Modi shared underwater pictures, donning scuba diving, while exploring the “lost city” of Lord Krishna.

The Dwarkadhish Temple holds immense significance in Hindu mythology and history, situated at the confluence of the Gomti River and the Arabian Sea. Earlier on Sunday, Modi offered prayers at the Dwarkadhish Temple, a pivotal Hindu pilgrimage site for Vaishnavites.

During his visit, the priests of the temple presented Modi with an idol of Lord Krishna. Later in the day, the Prime Minister inaugurated Gujarat’s first All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Rajkot, emphasizing the government’s commitment to completing projects for a developed India. Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya and Bhupendrabhai Patel joined the inauguration ceremony.

Modi dedicated five AIIMS institutions in Rajkot (Gujarat), Bathinda (Punjab), Raebareli (Uttar Pradesh), Kalyani (West Bengal), and Mangalagiri (Andhra Pradesh) to the nation. Speaking at the Rajkot AIIMS inauguration, the Prime Minister highlighted the government’s efforts to extend its reach beyond Delhi to every corner of the country, fostering development.

Earlier in the day, PM Modi arrived in Rajkot and participated in a public event before unveiling various development projects.
