Mamata Banerjee’s latest blooper: Nazrul Islam wrote ‘Mahabharata’, not Ved Vyasa

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, after a previous mix-up, now states that the 'Mahabharata' was written by poet Kazi Nazrul Islam, not sage Veda Vyasa.

Kolkata: The West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is at it again, making headlines with her latest blunder. Following her ‘Rakesh Roshan’ mix-up, she now claims that the iconic epic ‘Mahabharata’ was written by the rebel poet Kazi Nazrul Islam, not the revered sage Veda Vyasa. This latest gaffe has taken the internet by storm, triggering a flurry of laughter and amusement.

During the “TMCP Foundation Day Extravaganza”, Banerjee made the startling announcement. While promoting communal harmony, she managed to stir up a historical whirlwind. For everyone playing the home game of “Guess the Author”, she presented Nazrul Islam as the mind behind the epic saga of Kauravas and Pandavas’ legendary battle in Kurukshetra.

Not one to shy away from her imaginative side, Banerjee encouraged everyone to delve into the works of Tagore, Vivekananda, and the ”moon-landing Rakesh Roshan.” But the real showstopper was her assertion that the pen behind the Mahabharata belonged to Nazrul, a poet known for his rebellious verses.

The internet couldn’t help but revel in Banerjee’s latest faux pas, turning her into the star of a cosmic comedy. Her previous ”Rakesh Roshan” slip-up had already set the stage, confusing Rakesh Sharma, the astronaut, with Rakesh Roshan, the filmmaker, and sparking a wave of intergalactic mirth.

Recalling that hilarious moment, Banerjee took us on a journey where the moon was conquered by Bollywood director Rakesh Roshan. She spun a yarn about “Rakesh Roshan’s lunar adventure” and shared tales of Indira Gandhi’s fascination with space.

However, the real hero of this tale is Rakesh Sharma, the audacious pilot who made history by venturing into space. His iconic “Saare Jahan Se Achcha” reply left Gandhi and the nation in awe. While Sharma soared into the cosmos, Banerjee found her own way to stardom – through comedy.

As Chandrayaan-3 made its grand entrance onto the lunar stage, Mamata Banerjee became the star of her own cosmic theatre, shining brighter than any celestial body. Her new moniker, “Rakesh Roshan Whisperer,” was born amidst the laughter and amusement that followed India’s successful moon mission on August 23.

Banerjee’s ‘Rakesh Roshan’ mix-up has been making rounds on the internet, inspiring a galaxy of memes, all set against the backdrop of Chandrayaan-3’s lunar journey. Each one is funnier than the last, adding to the hilarity of the situation.

While India’s achievements in space exploration deserve applause, Mamata Banerjee’s cosmic comedy routine deserves a standing ovation. With her antics, India now shares the spotlight with the USA, China, and the former Soviet Union – a star-studded lineup of lunar pioneers.
