Inspired by Hamas: Terrorist groups sponsored by Pakistan increase their activity on the LoC

“Drone activities have increased majorly in the last month and they are doing almost two to three sorties in a day,” an official stated.

Since the Israel-Hamas conflict in West Asia began, terrorist organisations Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed, who are supported by Pakistan, have begun to operate aggressively at India’s frontiers, security officials told CNN-News18 on Tuesday. According to the sources, the LeT and Jaish have not traditionally been viewed as fighting alongside a third nation. However, the sources noted that they must be operational at the Line of Control (LoC) in order for their existence to be registered.

The LeT and JeM have been losing domestic grounds and funding as a result of the abrupt refugee crisis and attacks by Tehrik-e-Jihad Pakistan (TJP) or Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

Intelligence services say that in order to rival Hamas, Hezbollah, TTP, or TJP, they must demonstrate significant activity across the LoC.

“Drone activities have increased majorly in the last month and they are doing almost two to three sorties in a day. Since we don’t have a foolproof mechanism in place, it’s difficult to catch every drone,” an official stated.

As per the inputs, a significant shift has occurred whereby the Pakistani Rangers are approaching the International Border and directing drones in the direction of Amritsar.

“Because this is done from very close to the IB, they come deep inside the village and weapons and drugs are delivered, an official stated. “These drugs are for raising money and the weapons are given for terror activities and to local gangsters also.”

Hamas-style assaults in Jammu and Kashmir

High-level intelligence sources stated that the possibility of Lashkar and Jaish emulating Hamas-style assaults in Jammu and Kashmir is a serious concern for India.

According to authorities, there are around 60 foreign terrorists who are waiting in Kashmir; their whereabouts are unknown.

The terrorists at the borders have altered their launch sites in recent months, they said, fearing a precision strike similar to the one that occurred in 2019.

According to insiders, the launching platforms have been relocated out of sight of Indian agencies.
