He mentioned all the jobs he has ever done in the past from working as a waiter to becoming a prominent figure in the tech industry.

Adam recently shared on threads he started his career as a waiter and then moved on to become a bartender, before stepping into the world of technology. According to the post by his third job, he had secured a position as a designer and manager. He then worked as a product manager before taking the position of Head of Instagram.

As CEO of Instagram, Adam Mosseri is responsible for all aspects of the app’s operations, engineering, and product. Adam has spent more than 11 years working at Meta, formerly Facebook. He was the organization’s director of mobile app design before transitioning into product management, where he oversaw the News Feed engineering and product teams for several years.

According to Meta, Adam worked at TokBox as the company’s first designer. In 2003, he launched his career by starting a design agency with locations in New York and San Francisco that specialized in graphic, interface, and exhibition design. Mosseri holds a BA from the Gallatin School of Interdisciplinary Study at NYU where he studied information design and media. Born and raised in New York, he now lives in San Francisco with his wife and three sons.
