JEE Main Exam 2021 postponed indefinetely amid COVID surge: Education Minister

National Testing Agency, NTA has postponed JEE Main Exam 2021 for May session. The Joint Entrance Examination has been postponed keeping the safety of students amid rise in COVID19 cases across the country. 

Earlier, April session had been postponed due to COVID19. It was likely that the NTA would reopen the registration for the May examination. Many felt that with the present situation, JEE Main 2021 May Exam session will also get postponed and the decision has finally come.

The JEE Main exams were to be conducted in four phases this year. So far, two phases have been completed in February and March. The rescheduling of the April and May sessions will be done subsequently. The registration for the May Session will also be announced at a later stage, NTA said.

According to NTA, 620978 students appeared for the test in the first session, while 556248 students took the test in the second session.
