Woman takes drastic action: Genitals of rapist slit in Banka district, Bihar
Banka Town SHO stated that the accused has been arrested, while the rape survivor is currently undergoing medical examination. He further noted that the man's genitals were partially slit during the incident.
Following an alleged rape incident, a woman in the Banka district took action to defend herself by partially slitting the genitals of a man who had forcefully entered her home while her husband was away. The police arrested the accused and subsequently admitted him to the hospital for treatment.
According to the police, a woman in her 20s was sleeping on Friday night when a 27-year-old man forcefully entered her house through the roof and allegedly committed rape.
Despite initially protesting, the woman was unable to deter the man. In an act of self-defence, she grabbed a shaving blade and inflicted a partial slit on his genitals. As the man lay in pain, the woman managed to break free from his grasp and immediately alerted others by raising an alarm. Although the villagers rushed to the scene, the accused had already fled.
The villagers promptly notified the police, who took action and apprehended the accused. During her statement to the police, the woman admitted that she had forgotten to secure the roof door from the inside before going to bed.
Banka Town SHO Shambhu Yadav informed that the accused has been arrested, and the rape survivor is currently undergoing a medical examination. SHO Yadav stated that the man’s genitals were partially slit during the incident, which the woman claimed was an act of self-defence.
In a parallel incident last month, a girl mutilated the genitals of her boyfriend, a CRPF jawan stationed in Chhattisgarh, at a hotel in Patna. The gruesome act was reportedly motivated by the girl’s discovery that her boyfriend had entered into an arranged marriage with another woman.
In an incident reported by the police, a young woman summoned her boyfriend to a city hotel under false pretences, only to carry out a horrific act of violence. Allegedly, when the boyfriend declined to annul his impending marriage, citing familial obligations, the girl responded by mutilating his genitals. Law enforcement officials have stated that the victim’s condition remains critical, as nearly 60 per cent of his genital area was severed.
