A man is seen recording the video and quickly dousing the fire preventing further damage

In a shocker of a video that has appeared on social media, a disgruntled woman is seen setting her father-in-law’s room on fire in a bid to burn him for allegedly not allowing her to feed her child. However, fortunately, a man manages to capture the act on video and douse the fire to prevent any further damage to the old man.

In the video that has spread online, the woman is seen setting a piece of paper on fire and throwing it on her elderly father-in-law’s bed while he is asleep. While we cannot ascertain the exact reason for the woman’s actions but from the audio on the video and the caption put by the individual sharing the video on X, the micro-blogging site, it appears that the woman was annoyed because she wanted to feed her child but since the child was sleepy, he wouldn’t eat. What increased her anger on the elderly man is that apparently, the father-in-law told the woman to let the child sleep if it wanted to sleep.

Interpreting the man’s words as if he did not want the woman to let her feed her child, she became disappointed and in anger, went ahead to set the old man’s bed on fire. Luckily, the person shooting the video acted swiftly and doused the fire. Meanwhile, the elderly man can be seen waking up suddenly sensing the woman’s actions. Later in the video, the man can be seen reprimanding the woman for her actions to which she is seen justifying her actions by saying that if the old man does not let her feed her child then fate shall befall him.

Earlier, in the Banda district, a 65-year-old had allegedly doused himself in petrol and set himself on fire after a dispute with his daughter and daughter-in-law due to a delay in giving him tea after he asked for it which led to a heated argument. The man succumbed to his injuries after being taken to the hospital. The man, Avadh Kishore was said to suffer from depression due to domestic issues for quite some time.
