BPO woman finds 13,000 nudes of her, other women while checking boyfriend’s phone

The discovery prompted Tanvi to quickly end the relationship and report the matter to their office seniors to protect her colleagues from potential harm.

In an unsettling turn of events, a 22-year-old woman from Bengaluru, referred to as Tanvi (name changed for confidentiality), recently made a troubling discovery on her partner’s phone. Uncovering approximately 13,000 explicit images of various women, including herself and some female colleagues, she was understandably shocked.

The situation unfolded after Tanvi’s partner, a 25-year-old man named Adithya Santosh, started working at the same BPO company as Tanvi about five months ago. The discovery prompted Tanvi to quickly end the relationship and report the matter to their office seniors to protect her colleagues from potential harm. She also suspected that many of the images might have been digitally altered or ‘morphed.’

Company’s Swift Response

Recognizing the severity of the situation, the BPO company based in Bellandur promptly lodged a formal complaint with the Cyber Crime police station on November 23rd. A company spokesperson shared, “It could have impacted several other women. Though he hadn’t done any harm to other women in the office, his intention was not known to anyone. If the photos were leaked, it would have put them under trauma. We wanted to tell police that it is a potential issue.”

The company clarified that Santosh hadn’t used any firm’s devices to alter the images but emphasized that such actions were unacceptable.

Police Investigation Underway

As of now, the police have arrested Santosh pending further investigation to determine the motives behind collecting the explicit images. Authorities are examining the origin of the photos and investigating whether any women were blackmailed with these images. An officer revealed, “A few of them are morphed, and a few are real. We are also verifying if he had blackmailed any woman using them. His chat history and phone calls are also under verification.”
