Son of MLA cuts of water supply of Tirupati airport after officials deny him entry

Tirupati Deputy Mayor and the son of Andhra Pradesh MLA B Karunakar Reddy, Abhinay Reddy supposedly stopped the water supply to the Renigunta airport in the region after he was denied entry.

Abhinaya Reddy had gone to the airport earlier this week to welcome Andhra Pradesh minister Botsa Satyanarayana. His airport visit resulted in a heated exchange with the officials.

Botsa Satyanarayana was visiting Tirupati to attend the closing ceremony of a national-level kabaddi competition. He was accompanied by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) chairman YV Subba Reddy. Abhinaya Reddy had gone to the airport to receive Botsa Satyanarayana and Subba Reddy.

In any case, at the air terminal, Reddy was denied passage by the supervisor.

He then, at that point, had a heated contention with the director before leaving the air terminal.

Afterwards, the water supply of the airport and the air terminal staff private complex was suddenly cut.
However, the municipal authority claimed that the disruption in water supply was due to the blockage in the pipeline.

Abhinay Reddy is the son of Tirupati MLA Bhumana Karunakar Reddy and was chosen as the representative city hall leader of Tirupati city enterprise in July 2021.

“The suspension of water supply to the air terminal and staff quarters is a demonstration of the YCP’s anarchic rule. I firmly censure this episode.” Telugu Desam Party (TDP) general secretary Nara Lokesh said in a tweet.

Rajya Sabha MP and BJP leader GV Narasimha Rao put out a tweet about the incident, pointing fingers at YSRCP leaders. He also tagged Jyotiraditya Scindia, union minister for civil aviation, in the tweet.

The union minister responded by stating, “We will examine the issue at our end & take necessary action. Passengers & staff at the airport will not face any further inconvenience.”

Not the first time
This isn’t the first time heads of Andhra’s decision Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) drove by Jagan Mohan Reddy generally disliked the staff of the Tirupati air terminal.

In November 2015, Midhun Reddy the YSRCP MP from the Rajampet electorate had sought contention after he slapped a station director of Air India at Tirupati air terminal.

Reddy, alongside a little gathering of travellers, was at the air terminal to board a flight, however as they were late, they were denied tickets.

This brought about Reddy getting into contention with the Air India supervisor and slapping him.
Notwithstanding the whole occurrence being gotten on CCTV cameras, Reddy had rejected that he had slapped the authority.

The clinical report of the Air India official, distinguished as Rajasekhar said he endured cracks because of the attack and named his wounds as “heinous”.

Reddy who crawled under a rock after an argument was enlisted against him was captured in January 2016.
