Lamborghini Gallardo blazed to ashes over dispute with owner

The video of the burning car went viral on social media

Lamborghini Gallardo, valued at approximately Rs 1 crore

In a recent unsettling event in Hyderabad, a Lamborghini Gallardo, valued at approximately Rs 1 crore, was intentionally set ablaze. The high-end sports car was completely destroyed following a serious escalation in a commercial dispute between two car dealers.

Neeraj, a car dealer who had bought the Lamborghini from its original owner, registered a complaint with the police. The alleged culprit, Ahmed, had agreed to meet with Neeraj on Saturday to settle their differences. However, their conversation turned sour, and Ahmed burned the vehicle. By the time the fire department arrived, the car was already severely damaged. A video of the burning car was widely shared on the internet.

The incident took place on Mamidipalli Road, on the outskirts of Hyderabad, and is thought to be a retaliatory act in response to financial disagreements between the car’s owner and Ahmed. A video of the intense fire quickly went viral on social media, drawing attention to the underlying financial dispute.

Legal Consequences

Legal action has been taken following a complaint by the person responsible for transporting the car. A case has been filed under Section 435 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), which deals with causing damage by fire or explosive substances.

The burnt wreckage of the Lamborghini Gallardo serves as a stark reminder of how far disputes can escalate. The car was a Gallardo Spyder, an older model typically found in the second-hand market, equipped with a 5-liter NA V10 engine capable of 513 hp and 510 Nm of peak torque.

The Gallardo was discontinued in 2013, making way for the newer Huracán model. The Lamborghini Huracán succeeded the Gallardo in the company’s lineup and on the production line at the Sant’Agata factory in Bolognese, Italy.
