Turning the entire UP police into a joke, two police constables in Uttar Pradesh have been suspended for running a sex racket inside an outpost in Pilibhit district. The cops allegedly used escort services to extort money by blackmailing people.
The matter became public when a constable at the police outpost talked to a call girl and recorded the conservation, according to a report in News18 online.
After the expose, the Superintendent of Police Jai Prakash Yadav has removed the constables from their outpost. A departmental inquiry has also been ordered into the incident.
The conversation in the audio revealed grim details. The accused sexually exploited the woman repeatedly to pressurise her to trap and blackmail young boys.
Reportedly, the cops had roped in a few girls who at first used to call customers over to a place close to the police outpost as specified by the two cops. Soon after, they would conduct a raid on the spot and would extract a heavy bribe from them under the threat of prosecuting the customers for illegal activity.
Meanwhile, the SP has also removed seven other police constables from the police outpost and attached them their respective with police stations.
