Presently, Ed Sheeran holds the position as the most followed artist on Spotify, trailed closely by Ariana Grande in second place. To contextualize this achievement, Arijit Singh has surpassed a lineup of esteemed artists including Eminem, Drake, The Weeknd, Rihanna, and Adele, in addition to Taylor Swift and Billie Eilish.

However, it was Arijit’s rendition of the recent song “Pasoori Nu” that sparked controversy. In response to the criticism received for the song, Arijit addressed the matter through his reported Twitter handle, expressing that the filmmaker had committed to supporting an annual fund for an underprivileged school, emphasizing the significance of this commitment over a few negative comments.

He lent his enchanting voice to the romantic number “Tere Pyaar Mein” featured in the movie “Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar,” starring Ranbir Kapoor.
