After bumper success, Gadar 2 announces ‘buy 2 get 2 free’ ticket offer on Raksha Bandhan

After proving to be a blockbuster at the box office and minting over ₹450 crores within just 17 days of its release, Gadar 2 has another exciting offer for its fans. Ahead of Raksha Bandha, the Gadar 2 team announced a new free ticket offer as it continues to receive love from the audience. On 29 August, the production company of the movie, Zee Studios took to social media and informed their new buy 2, get 2 tickets free offer and that the scheme is only valid for the film till this weekend.

Reacting to this exciting news, fans started predicting the business of the movie for the upcoming weekend. Gadar 2 was released on 11 August, 2023. As per trade estimates, Gadar 2 has minted nearly Rs.5 crores on the 18th day of its release and is inching closer to the ₹500-crore mark at the box office. It is a sequel to the cult classic Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, that released over two decades ago in 2001. It was set at the time of the Partition of India in 1947 and starred Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel in the lead roles.

While Sunny reprised his role as the truck driver, Tara Singh in Gadar 2, Ameesha Patel also played his Pakistani wife, Sakeena. The film revolves around Tara Singh who helps his son, Utkarsh Sharma, to cross the border as he was held captive in Pakistan. It is directed by Anil Sharma.

Talking about the success of Gadar 2, Sunny Deol at a recent screening of his film in London, told a news agency, “I have not still planned anything as to what I’m going to be doing next, hopefully, because I really want to cherish the moment and I want to take my step properly, one step at a time.” He further added, “I want to do cinema which is what I’ve seen now, how people are wanting it and they want this kind of larger than life film and a film with all the values to it, which most of our cinema has not been doing for a long time.
