Mi11 series by Xiaomi is launching tomorrow

On Friday there will be 3 new Xiaomi mobiles that will hit the Indian Market. All of them are equipped with snapdragon 8-series processors.

Xiaomi is gearing up to launch its 3 mobiles which consist of the latest and most advanced snapdragon-8 series. Mi 11 Ultra being the most superior in terms of configuration is destined to be the flagship phone of the company. Mi 11x is introduced in the market to compete with the OnePlus 9R. While Mi 11 Ultra will have direct competition from the OnePlus 9Pro and Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra.

The Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra may be the ultimate smartphone. Looking at it from all angles, we can’t really see a flaw or shortcoming. Better yet, it’s hard to see one phone matching the Mi 11 Ultra spec for spec, well, except maybe that other Ultra.

The new Mi 11 Ultra is tipped as the new superphone due to its chipset, Xiaomi’s new flagship phone comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chip, dual displays and 67W fast charging. However, it stands out because of the presence of the world’s largest camera sensor on a smartphone. Here is everything you need to know about the price and features of the Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 11X and Mi 11X Pro ahead of their launch.

Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 11X and Mi 11X Pro: Price in India (expected)

The base variant of Mi 11 Ultra with 8GB of RAM and 256GB internal storage costs RMB 5999 (roughly Rs 67,000) in China, the 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage costs RMB 6,499 (roughly Rs 72,500) while the 12GB RAM and 512GB internal storage variant is priced at RMB 6,999 (roughly Rs 78,100). In an ideal scenario, Xiaomi should look to undercut OnePlus 9 Pro, which means that the phone should cost less than Rs 70,000. However, it has already confirmed that the phone will be imported from China which will add extra cost. The Mi 11 Ultra India pricing should be between Rs 70,000 and Rs 80,000.

Recently a tipster claimed that Mi 11X might be priced at Rs 29,990 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant and Rs 31,990 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. The same tweet claimed that Mi 11X Pro is expected be priced at Rs 36,990 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model and Rs 38,990 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage model.

However, one of Xiaomi executives replied to the tweet saying that this is simple conversion which does not take import duties into account. This suggests that both the phones can cost more than the tipped price. The Mi 11X variants can cost between Rs 30,000 and Rs 35,000 while the Mi 11X Pro might be priced between Rs 40,000 and Rs 45,000.

Here is a review of Mi 11 Ultra.

Camera-wise you get a 50MP main camera with a wide 24mm field of view and the current-biggest camera sensor in a smartphone – Samsung’s 1/1.12-inch GN2, complete with dual-pixel PDAF, laser-assisted AF and optical stabilization. Moving to the 48MP ultrawide – it a properly wide field of view at 12mm and sits in front of a big 1/2.0-inch sensor with PDAF. Then there’s the periscope camera with a the same resolution and sensor size as the ultrawide. It provides 5x optical zoom (120mm equivalent). The tiny secondary display may look a gimmick, but it enables selfies with all three of the Mi 11 Ultra’s potent main cameras. It is a bit tricky to get a correct hold so that you can snap a photo with the volume button, but the end result is well worth it.

Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra is complete smartphone. It comes with a 6.81-inch AMOLED display with all the bells and whistles – 1440p resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and a searing 900 nits of brightness. You also get the premium snapdragon 888 chipsets with 8GB and 12GB RAM, a very powerful 5000MaH battery with 67W charging both with or without a wire. You get two speakers on each side of the Mi 11 Ultra and an infrared sensor on the top. And you can rely on IP68 protection against water and dust.

What do we know about Mi 11X and Mi 11X Pro?

Mi 11X and Mi 11X Pro are tipped to be re-branded versions of Redmi K40 and Redmi 40 Pro, respectively. They share most of their features apart from the processor. They are likely to have the same 4,250mAh batteries with support for 33W fast-charging. The smartphones will also share the 20-megapixel selfie camera and side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Mi 11X Pro will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset while the Mi 11X will pack Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC. The Pro model will have a 108-megapixel primary sensor, 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 5-megapixel macro lens.
