The Freedom Fighters of Balochistan, Sindhudesh, Pashtunistan and POK-Gilgit Baltistan have decided to not celebrate the Independence day of Pakistan. They have observed 14th August as “Black Day” to remember the treacherous occupation of the Punjabi-Urdu speaking Pakistanis of Islamabad. Protests were held all over the world including USA, UK, Canada among others in front of the Pakistani embassies.

Sindhudesh:

The Sindhi Community consists of Sindhis and Mohajirs who are traditionally settled in the Sindh region and concentrated in the economic hub of Karachi. Though contributing a major portion of GDP, the Sindhis are neglected by the Pakistani establishment and live in poor conditions. Demography change, Urdu imposition, brutalities by the Army are major concerns. The kidnappings and killings of over 35000 activists, forced conversions of Sindhi Hindu girls are just examples of the plight of Sindhis.

Balochistan:

On 11th August 1947, the British declared independence of Balochistan. However, in the following year, Pakistan invaded Balochistan and since then, started the decades long fight for freedom from the occupationist forces. More than 75000 Balochis have been kidnapped, killed, used for organ harvesting or sold off by the Pakistani agencies through “Death Squads” which often comprise of state sponsored terrorists. Entire villages are often attacked. The China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) passes through the mineral rich region of Blochistan, which explains why Chinese forces have also been brutalizing the Balochis.

Pashtunistan:

The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa region is sitting on a time-bomb which can go off anytime. The outburst will erupt in the form of hate and anger that prevails over the entire Pashtun belt. The Khar Qamar and Chaman massacres among other atrocities by Pakistani Army have seen huge protests by Pashtun nationalists. The demand is either for a separate nation or for merging the region with Afganistan.

Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan:

While Gilgit-Baltistan is a part of India’s Laddakh Union Territory, POK is a part of J&K UT. These have been under the occupation of Pakistan since 1948. Exploitation of the resource rich and historically significa region has turned it into a hot bed of terrorism and left the Kashmiris, Gilgitis and Baltis poverty-stricken.

India’s Ultimate solution to Pakistani funded insurgency in Kashmir:

Like in 1971, when India liberated Bengali speaking Bangladesh from Pakistan, India can indirectly or directly help (if it already isn’t) the nationalist forces in Balochistan, Khyber, Sindh and POK to reclaim what is rightfully theirs. This will divide Pakistan into 4 parts and help India in integrating Kashmir into the mainland.
