Owaisi slams Pakistan for mixing Islam with cricket; asks to keep it separate

Earlier Pakistan Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed had said that Pakistan's win over India in the T20 cricket world cup was Islam's win over Hindus.

Owaisi while addressing a rally in poll-bound Uttar Pradesh’s Muzzafarnagar slammed Pakistan for mixing Islam with cricket and thanked his forefathers for choosing India over Pakistan.

Earlier, Pakistan Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed had said that the victory of Pakistan in the world cup match was a victory of Islam over Hinduism. He also made an absurd remark that the sentiment of Muslims all over the world including India is with Pakistan.

Owaisi did not take this jibe at the loyalty of Indian Muslims lightly and responded by slamming him, “A minister of our neighboring country said that Pakistan’s win against India in the #T20WorldCup match was a victory for Islam…What does Islam have to do with cricket matches? Thanks to Allah that our elders did not go there (Pakistan), otherwise we would have to see these madmen. “

If we go by this absurd logic then the past 12 defeats of Pakistan in world cup should be implied upon as the defeat of Islam, hence it is better not to mix politics with sports to create a friendly mutually respecting atmosphere. Also, Pakistan makes such statements on purpose to create communal disharmony in India, hope Owaisi’s befitting reply makes Pakistani’s think twice before uttering such communally polarized remarks.
