Joining BJP in West Bengal is like wishing for own death: Ex-CPI(M) MLA killed near his house.

The BJP unit of West Bengal has suspected could play in the death case. People of the area also claimed that the BJP MLA was murdered and then hanged. However, police said the cause of death will be ascertained after post mortem. The body has been sent to Raigunj hospital for post mortem.

Roy was earlier a CPI(M) MLA but had changed camps and joined BJP in 2019 in presence of senior BJP leaders in Delhi.

Demanding Central Bureau of Investigation inquiry over his death, his family claimed it was a murder, not suicide.
