AAP and Congress promised those farm laws if they win Punjab elections in 2017 but now, they are against it?

The opposition is all over media showing unconditional support to Farmer protests and demanding the government to take back farm laws but in reality, every party called these laws ‘necessities’ before BJP introduced them.

Arvind Kejriwal along with AAP leaders is acting to be on a hunger strike against BJP at the Border as an election tactic but the reality is that 3 years back he wanted the very same thing in Punjab if he won the elections.

In 2017 election, Aam Aadmi Party clearly stated that APMC amendments will be introduced and private companies will be made to enter the Farmer market but MSP would be the same.

Rahul Gandhi who apparently is only present on twitter these days being a keyboard warrior, his party congress under Captain Amrinder Singh notified in their manifesto that all these laws would be brought into act if they won the election.

The farmers of Punjab even voted for Congress for the very same reason so that they could bring these amendments but since it is BJP who did it first, everyone has taken to the streets to protest.

It is funny how the laws were fine for the farmers as well as the political parties if they implemented them but the same laws became ‘draconian measures’ when BJP implemented them first, that too nationwide.

By their previous 2017 election manifestos, it is clear that Congress, as well as AAP, are just supporting Farmer’s protests for the sole purpose of appeasement while in reality, they thought the farm laws were ‘much needed’ and ‘best’ for farmers of Punjab let alone the entire country.
