NCB officials attacked by a mob of 60 drug peddlers during raid in Mumbai

In a shocking incident, Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede and his team of five officers were attacked by a group of drug peddlers in Mumbai’s Goregaon area on Monday (November 23).

According to our sources, it was a crowd of around 60 people. In this, 2 NCB officers are badly injured. The name of the drug peddler that the NCB went to capture is named Carry Mandis. The situation was brought under control with the help of Mumbai Police.

The incident took place near the Goregaon Railway Station where NCB officials had intercepted three drug peddlers. Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede was leading the operation along with five others from NCB where a 20-year-old peddler, identified as Carry Mendes, was intercepted and LSD was recovered from him.

The local police station was alerted and Goregaon police sent a team which tackled the mob. The accused involved have been arrested by the police on charges of assaulting government servant and obstructing government servant from discharging their duties.

Sameer Wankhede was the one who probed actress Rhea Chakraborty’s drug conspiracy link in connection with actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death.
