India, in the 46th Session of UNHRC at Geneva, hit back at Pakistan for its anti-India propaganda. Pakistan along with OIC made a statement regarding the status quo of the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir. They made remarks about the way India is treating the whole Kashmir issue.

India during this session made it clear that there is no locus standi whatsoever. Pawan Kumar Badge, the first secretary of the Permanent Mission of India to the UN stated that Jammu and Kashmir is an integral and inseparable part of India.

He also pointed out that the OIC keeps falling for the lies provided by Pakistan. Jeddah Headquarter,a counterpart of the UN, in Saudi Arabia has been in support of Pakistan regarding the Kashmir issue.

The secretary highlighted that Pakistan has been a hub for terrorists. These terrorists have been denounced by the United Nations. He added that for a long time the Pakistani government has been providing pensions and subsidiaries to terrorists like Hafiz Saeed, Osama Bin Laden etc.

Pakistani Imran Khan despite admitting to the notorious practices by their country has called out Osama Bin Laden as a “martyred”.

Pakistan since its inception has been talking ill about India in every UN general assembly, the Indian diplomat said. He added that the council should question Pakistan on its atrocities against the minorities which comprise Hindu, Sikhs, Christians etc. Their holy places are vandalised and desecrated on a routine basis. Also, the fact that the population of these minorities has been depleting since Independence.

Pakistan is displaying its Sunni dominance across the country. Due to this, the lives of Shias, Ahmadiyyas, Pashtuns, Sindhis and Baloch are in danger. They are being subjected to draconian blasphemy laws, abduction and conversion daily.

Seema Punjani, Second secretary in the permanent mission to the UN said that Pakistan has the record for the worst human rights atrocities in the world on February 24. Pakistan indulges in institutionalised barbaric actions on its citizens, she said while exercising her right to reply.

Punjani also disregarded the remarks made by Turkey on the Kashmir issue. She called it completely unacceptable.

The Second secretary also addressed that The government of India unlike its counterpart protects the interests of its minorities. She said that India recognises the obligation of human rights as well.
