Go to Court, we will reply there: NCB after NCP leader calls Mumbai Cruise drug raid “fake”

"The BJP has been conspiring to defame Maharashtra, the Maharashtra government and Bollywood for the past year", alleged the Nationalist Congress Party.

Maharashtra Cabinet Minister and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Nawab Malik on Wednesday alleged that the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) raid on the Cordelia cruise ship at Mumbai that hosted a “rave party” was fake and that it was the BJP’s tactic to use the central agency to frame Aryan Khan and defame Bollywood.

Addressing the media, Malik claimed that, “Not even one gram of drug was seized on the cruise, not even on the terminal. The drug was not even found with any one of the accused. Whatever the video of the sample has been shared by the NCB, it has been made in the Zonal Director’s office which is against the procedure of seizure.”

He further cited a video of the incident to say that the person who was taking those detained during the raid including star kid Aryan Khan was BJP minister Manish Bhanushali.

“Aryan Khan’s arrest is a forgery. For the last one month, information was being circulated to crime reporters that the next target is actor Shah Rukh Khan,” said Malik.

Malik even went on to compare this to the time of Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, alleging that even at the time a “perception was created that the entire Bollywood in Mumbai has become a nexus of drug rackets.”

He went on to say, “Our allegation is that the BJP has been conspiring to defame Maharashtra, the Maharashtra government and Bollywood for the past one year. The drama of October 3 (NCB raid) was fake.”

Meanwhile, the NCB in its response to these allegations has refuted them as baseless. “The allegations levelled against us seem to have been with malice and probable prejudice that may have been harboured in retaliation against earlier legal action carried out by NCB.”

Maintaining a strong stand, NCB Deputy Dg Gyaneshwar Singh said, “If they (NCP) want to go to court, they can go and seek justice. We will reply there.” The central agency also reiterated that its procedure has been and will continue to be “professionally and legally transparent and unbiased.”

On the other hand, actor Shah Rukh Khan’s fans continued to support the actor and have left a huge placard outside his home, Mannat, after the arrest of his son. The placard spoke of their ‘unconditional love’ for the actor.

Bollywood celebs including Salman Khan, Deepika Padukone, Anushka Sharma, Pooja Bhatt, Hansal Mehta among others have also extended their support to the actor.
