Adipurush makers reserve 1 seat in every theatre for Lord Hanuman

The makers of ‘Adipurush’ have announced that they will reserve one seat for lord Hanuman without selling it during the screening of the film.

One of the most awaited films of 2023 is all set to hit theatres on June 16. In a unique move, the ‘Adipurush’ team has made an announcement regarding the dedication of one seat in each theatre screening the film to Lord Hanuman. This decision aims to honor and celebrate the deep beliefs people have for the lord.

Adipurush will be available in five languages, including Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada. As part of this special gesture, the makers have chosen to leave one seat unsold in every theatre during the screening of ‘Adipurush.’ This seat will be exclusively reserved for Lord Hanuman.


The official statement from the ‘Adipurush’ team emphasizes the presence of Lord Hanuman whenever the Ramayana is recited. It expresses respect for this belief by reserving a seat for Lord Hanuman without selling it in every theatre.

The is a film based on the history of Hinduism that draws inspiration from the Indian epic Ramayana. Directed and written by Om Raut, the film features Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, and Saif Ali Khan in lead roles, with Sunny Singh and Devdatta Nage in supporting roles.

Despite encountering various challenges throughout its development, such as controversies surrounding Saif Ali Khan’s comments about Ravana and criticism regarding its visual effects, ‘Adipurush’ has successfully generated anticipation among viewers. 

Boasting an impressive budget of Rs 500 crore, the film aims to deliver a grand and immersive cinematic experience.
