Is Covid-19 China’s Biological Warfare? Chinese Scientists probed weaponizing Coronaviruses 5 years before outbreak, reports reveal

The document also reveals that PLA Commanders had predicted that the 3rd World War would be fought with biological weapons.

In a startling revelation, documents accessed by the US State Department have shown that Chinese scientists had probed weaponizing Coronaviruses 5 years before the world was hit by the Covid-19 pandemic. It also showed that China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) commanders had predicted that the 3rd World War would be fought with biological weapons, adding to fuel to the much-scrutinized theory of Covid-19 being Chinese Biological Warfare.

The papers describe SARS Coronaviruses – of which Covid is an example – as heralding a “new era of genetic weapons”. The paper further boasts that the strain can be “artificially manipulated into an emerging human disease virus, then weaponized and unleashed in a way never seen before”.

The document lists 18 authors including China’s top public health experts – former deputy director of China’s Bureau of Epidemic Prevention, Li Feng, and 10 scientists and weapons experts affiliated with the Air Force Medical University in Xi’an, which was placed under control of the PLA in 2017 by Chinese president Xi Jinping.

The Chinese language military document, titled The Unnatural Origin of SARS and New Species of Man-Made Viruses as Genetic Bioweapons, outlines the Chinese military’s plans with regards to bioweapons. It reads, “Following developments in other scientific fields, there have been major advances in the delivery of biological agents. The new-found ability to freeze-dry micro-organisms has made it possible to store biological agents and aerosolize them during attacks.”.

It also visions a potential bioweapon attack that could cause the “enemy’s medical system to collapse”, referencing work by US Air Force Colonel who predicted World War 3 may be fought with bioweapons. The document has raised concerns over China’s ambition in bioweapons which can be extremely dangerous even under the tightest controls, especially considering a lack of distinction in China’s civilian and military research.

Wuhan Institute of Virology and the Lab-Leak Theory:

This has also once again raised the question of whether Covid-19 is manmade and whether it escaped from China’s Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV). The WIV bio lab is the highest security lab in China and is incidentally located right at the heart of where the pandemic broke out in 2019.

It is the first lab in China to be accredited with biosafety level 4 (BSL-4), which means, here scientists can study diseases that have no cure. Airlocks, full bodysuits, and chemical showers are mandatory before leaving or entering the lab.

The lab specialized in bat-borne viruses and had been carrying out experiences on them since 2015. Reportedly, experts at the lab had also engineered a new type of hybrid ‘super-virus’ that can infect humans in 2015. The lab was also recruiting new scientists to probe coronaviruses in bats just 7 days before the outbreak.

There is no evidence to say that the virus was deliberately released by China. While the WIV has since denied any role in the origin of the virus, questions over a lab leak remain. Even after the highly awaited WHO probe last year, no conclusive details had surfaced. China has been repeatedly accused of a lack of transparency in details regarding the origin of Covid-19, and at times of even hindering WHO’s investigation after it downplayed the severity of the virus for months.

Interestingly, WHO’s expert report after the investigation had completely dismissed the possibility of the virus emerging from a Chinese Laboratory. However, it is important to note that the report was written jointly by a team of 17 scientists from around the world, chosen by the WHO, and 17 Chinese scientists, many of whom hold official positions or work at government-run institutions, giving the Chinese Communist Party great influence over its conclusions.

These concerns have prompted a small group of scientists not affiliated with the WHO to call for a new inquiry into the origin of the pandemic. They said such an inquiry should consider the possibility that the virus escaped from a laboratory in Wuhan or infected someone inside it.

Meanwhile, China now claims to have beaten the pandemic with total cases of only over 90,000, amid allegations that it has manipulated its case and death figures. Pictures from the country reveal life as being back to normal while the rest of the world grapples with the devastating pandemic.
