It is confusing if the people really want progress of the country or violence and vandalism as their jobs because the more global investments shift towards India, there are fanatic complications created against them.

Incidents of vandalism were reported at Amazon warehouses in Mumbai and Pune on Friday after some MNS workers destroyed properties at the e-commerce giant’s facilities.

This comes days after Wistron’s iPhone manufacturing unit was vandalized by worker unions over non-repayment of salary without any police complaint.

Workers allegedly belonging to the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) barged into the Amazon warehouses at Marol in Mumbai’s Andheri suburb and Pune city and damaged the company properties, police confirmed.

“The notice sent to Raj Thackeray by Amazon yesterday (Thursday) is illegal. If one has to do business in Maharashtra they must provide an option in Marathi language and if they don’t do it in future as well… then the way this (Amazon’s warehouse) has been vandalised similarly Maharashtra Navnirman Sena will not let their shops, vehicles operate in Maharashtra,” said MNS worker Amit Jagtap, who was allegedly leading the group that vandalised the godown.

The case has been registered with Kondhwa police station of Pune under section 143,147,149,427,452 of IPC along with several other relevant sections.

Amazon has filed the civil suit against the MNS and its workers’ union which had allegedly threatened to block the firm’s operations in Mumbai if it did not include Marathi as one of the preferred languages on its mobile application and website.

A notice was issued to MNS chief Raj Thackeray directing him to appear in court on January 5.
