Bihar electrician cuts power supply of entire village to meet girlfriend in dark, caught red-handed
They had been facing frequent power cuts, now they know why. The villagers however ended up getting them married.
Talk about ‘madness in love’, this man had been cutting off the power supply of his entire village just so he could meet his girlfriend in the darkness.
People of Ganeshpur village in eastern Bihar’s Purnia district started witnessing frequent power cuts for two to three hours at a particular time of evening. The residents found this ironical as neighbouring villages remained illuminated during that time interval.
After thoroughly examining the cause, villagers were stunned to find that the electrician had been cutting the power supply of the village to meet his girlfriend in darkness.
After catching them red-handed, the villagers thrashed the electrician, tonsured his head and made him parade through the streets as punishment, reported The Tribune.
The police said they had not received any complaint so far. “We have come to know about the incident but will act once we receive a complaint,” local police station in-charge Vikas Kumar Azad said.
The villagers, however, got them married to each other in the presence of the Sarpanch and other village council members. (Aww)
