In an unusual and weird case, a 23-year-old man who used to dress up and impersonate as a police inspector to make illegal recoveries from cars exiting the Taj Expressway was arrested by the Tundla police of the Firozabad district. The attribute which gave away his identity was his weight of 150Kgs as his unfit overweight body aroused suspicion.

Firozabad Police was getting the information for a long time that a police inspector in the Firozabad district makes illegal recovery from vehicles as soon as they get off the Taj Expressway. For this, the police of Tundla police station adjoining the Agra border were checking at night for several days.

During the same routine checking, police found a WagonR car near Usaini village in Raja’s Tal Chowki area on NH-2, a person was sitting in the car with three stars on the police uniform. When Tundla SHO Rajesh Pandey questioned the person sitting in the car, he misled the police by showing a fake ID card, later on after more questioning only did he reveal the truth.

The accused Mukesh Yadav used to go out at the night with one or two of his companions and used to make an illegal recovery in the name of checking from private buses and trucks.

A case has been registered against the accused under sections 170, 171, 420, 467, 468, 469, and 471 at Tundla police station. At the same time, the accused was arrested and presented to the court, from where he has been sent to jail. However, the caught fake inspector Mukesh Yadav says that he dressed up as fake police to save on toll.
