Republic day-2022 invitees list includes construction, frontline workers, auto drivers and sanitation workers

Consistently on January 26, India’s Republic Day march draws in every one of its residents just as the global crowd. People from all walks of life have been invited to the Rajpath Republic Day celebration this year. According to an official from the Ministry of Defence, a special effort was made to provide an opportunity to those who never get a chance to witness the celebration. 

Because of Covid-19 limitations, the number of guests is to be considerably abridged for the current year. We are taking a gander at a scope of 5000 to 8000 individuals however we have not yet finished that. Last year, 25,000 guests had participated in it, he added.

For the security of guests, just double vaccinated invitees are permitted. Also in the fenced-in areas, they demand visitors to keep a six-foot separation, wear veils and follow other Covid conventions. All visitors will be thermally screened and clinical help will be accessible in a conclusion, he added.

“We will telecast the Republic Day celebrations on the internet, television and other social media platforms for all viewers. We are encouraging people to be a part of the celebration from home,” he added.

Tableaux of 12 states and union territories and nine ministers have been finalised for the republic day. Arunachal Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Goa, Haryana, Gujarat, Jammu and Kashmir and Karnataka, Maharashtra and Meghalaya, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand are participating. Ministries include education and skill development, entrepreneurship, civil aviation, Ministry of communication, Home affairs, housing and urban affairs, textiles, law and justice, jalebi’s Shakti and culture.

“Total 75 aircraft will participate in flypast this year to mark 75 years of Independence. For the first time, visitors will get a glimpse of some unseen visuals from the cockpit of fighter planes performing manoeuvres on Republic Day,” he said.

The invitation cards have been specially designed that has been sent to invitees. The cards have medicinal seeds in them.

“We request guests to show the card in a flower pot or the garden after the event. It contains seeds of Ashwagandha, Alovera, and Amla,” he added.

Prior, universities or schools used to play out a social dance during the occasion however this year a cross country rivalry was held to urge more specialists to partake in the occasion.

“We held ‘Bande Bharatam’ competition by Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Culture. At the districts level total of 3870 artists participated and after state, zonal and national competition, finally, 600 artists were selected who will perform at Rajpath on Republic Day,” he added.

The Rajpath that has been redeveloped under Central Vista has been opened between Vijay Chowk and India Gate for the Republic Day celebration.
