People mourning, by brutally assaulting themselves on Muharram

Just like Ganesh Chaturthi processions, Supreme Court banned them on Muharram as well due to the pandemic but following the ideology that laws and court orders are only for one community, Shia muslims carried out processions illegally.

And like always, the police was unable to control the massive crowds that emerged in different parts of the country.

The blood festival where the Shia muslims mourn the death of Imam Hussain on his death day by brutally hitting themselves, might now lead to exponential surge in COVID cases in the country.

From streets of Telangana to Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka, even Kashmir, huge crowds took to the streets with 0 social distancing, blood spewing on the streets, and police preventing other religious places as in these events, people are filled with adrenaline and tend to start riots.

While on Ganesh Chaturthi Hindus had organized nationwide blood donation camps instead of processions, Muslims were spilling blood on the streets yesterday.

In Kashmir, when the forces tried to restrain the crowd, they were met with stone pelting which injured several policemen after which the forces retaliated with pellet guns which hit many civilians as well.
